Season 12 in Diablo 4 pretends it's got a whole buffet of things to do, but you'll clock the real routine pretty fast. People aren't wandering around because they're curious. They're doing quick errands, checking stash space, maybe selling a few rares, and then heading right back out. Even the economy vibe feeds into it—when you're low on mats or reroll money, you start thinking about Diablo 4 gold the same way you think about repair bills: not exciting, just part of keeping the loop moving. Good design, bad consequence
There's a reason this keeps happening in ARPGs. If one farm spot is clearly ahead on rewards per minute, players will stack up there like it's a sale. It's not laziness, it's just respect for your own time. But it does shrink the game. The world can be huge, the activity list can be long, and your actual night of playing still ends up feeling narrow. Then you finally hit that perfect drop, stare at your screen, and think, "So… now what?" That's when the burnout creeps in, especially if your next goal is just another hundred Lair resets.



Where that leaves the season
Right now the Bloodied Lair Boss is doing the heavy lifting for Season 12, and it's hard to blame players for leaning on it. It's the one place where effort and reward match up without a bunch of friction in the middle.
