We are now looking for talented Software engineers to join our European customer service team. You will be working in Comptel Mediation and Provisioning solution project deliveries in a key end-to-end role. You will work very closely with customers and colleagues from different Comptel departments from services to R&D to sales. We will provide you a wide range of challenging assignments, from short term consultancy assignments to major solution deliveries and support phase consultancy, along with a growth path to give you new challenges for following years.

Main responsibilities

• Customer delivery project related responsibilities
o Requirement analysis, documentation and design documentation.
o Software module and component implementation and configuration.
o Integrating solution components with customer networks and billing systems.
o System testing and participation in customer acceptance testing.
• Providing technical consultancy related to Comptel solutions.
• Troubleshooting and fixing of problems/defects related to software implementations.

Main requirements

• BSc, MSc or similar level degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or related fields.
• Willingness and capability to learn independently new technologies and practices and share your knowledge with others.
• Ability to work independently and be flexible and well organized.
• Good communications skills (written and spoken) in English and German towards customers and colleagues in a multinational team.
• Good knowledge of Java, C/C++ or a similar programming language.
• The position requires travelling.

Advantages

• Hands on experience in deploying IT software and solutions in complex multivendor environment.
• Knowledge of the Telecommunications OSS/BSS environment;
• Knowledge of Linux, Oracle RDBMS and common UNIX scripting languages, as well as of build and test automation tools are of benefit
• Knowledge of x86 hardware solutions and optimization of HW + SW deployments including cloud and HA setups and various databases.
• Experience in working in English with multi-national teams
